NRA First Steps Pistol

Course Goal:
To provide beginning shooters with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a specific pistol model safely.

Course Pre-requisites:  None

Course Overview:

  1. Introduction to Pistol Safety, Parts, and Operation
  2. Introduction to Ammunition and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
  3. Introduction to Pistol Shooting from the Benchrest Position
  4. Introduction to Pistol Cleaning, Storage, and Training Opportunities

Course Length:  3-4 hours        Cost:  $39 ( includes use of a .22cal pistol, eye & ear protection)

What Student Needs to Bring to Class

  • Note pad & pencil
  • Ball Cap
  • A good attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Snacks/Water/Pop (optional)

OPTIONAL

  • Your own pistol, if you have one, with 50 rounds of ammo
    (NO magnum ammo - i.e. 357mag; 44mag; 357sig)
     
  • Your own Eye and Ear protection
